Three Armies (called Inspectorates) each consisting of three divisions. A total of 11 Infantry and 1 Cavalry divisions were fielded with 700+ field guns, a total of 300,000 foot and 5000 cavalry. Division included two Cavalry squadrons + 3 infantry brigades + 1 artillery Bde of six batteries + six engineer companies and other supporting units. Infantry Brigade included 2 machinegun platoons + 3 infantry regiments of two battalions The Cavalry Division included regiments of three squadrons each. There was a total of 11 Cavalry regiments in the Army. There were 54 Field Artillery batteries + 12 Mountain batteries + 8 Siege Batteries in the Army. The 1st Army received four Mountain artillery battalions of three batteries + two battalions of siege guns. The 2nd Army received two additional field artillery battalions and the 3rd Army received one battalion of siege artillery which had only two batteries. A battery generally had four 75mm Creusot field guns with a range of 5900 meters. The heavy guns were 150mm Krupp (15), 120mm Krupp (14), 150mm Schneider (24) and 120mm Schneider (24). The mountain guns wer 75mm carried by pack animals. The Maxim machine-gun and was carried by pack animals or on wheeled carriages. Infantry carried the 8mm Mannlicher and reserve units carried the 10mm Berdan. During the Second Balkan War, full mobilization allowed the Bulgarians to field five Army Inspectorates plus additional garrison units at Adrianople and on the Roumanian border.
