The Bulgarian Front

October 9-11 1912. Battle of Saranta Ekklesies. The Turkish Thracian Army Corps) instead of establishing defensive positions launches an attack against the Bulgarian 3rd Army. The Bulgarians disrupt the Turkish forces to a point that not only are they forced to retreat but they are unable to defend the fortified city of Saranta Ekklesies.

October 16-20 1912. Battle of Luleburgaz. Bulgarian 3rd Army frontally attacks Turkish positions while the 1st Army encircles the west flank. The Turks lost 30,000 men.

November 4-5 1912. The Turks repel a Bulgarian assault on the positions in front of Adrianople. The Bulgarians lost 10,000 men and retreats to the Saranta Ekklesies-Luleburgaz area.

January 28, 1913. Fresh Turkish divisions attack from Constantinople toward Gallipoli. The Bulgarians halt the offensive with heavy losses being suffered by both sides.

March 3, 1913. Greek forces capture Yannina.

March 25-26, 1913. Battle of Adrianople. The Bulgarian Army with Serbian reinforcements launch a multi-day offensive against the fortified positions of Adrianople. The city falls

April 22, 1913. Turkish garrison at Scutari finally surrenders to the Montenegrans.
