I have seen this movie several times and have enjoyed it immensely. In order to make the film, John Wayne had a complete replica of the Alamo built, as it was impossible to make the movie in the San Antonio as the area had been built up around the original site. The film, produced, directed, and starring John Wayne, is full of action and drama. I can only guess at its historical accuracy. If you don't have a copy you should get one (it's available from Belle & Blade in Dover, NJ). I personally give The Alamo my highest endorsement and two thumbs up. More Movie Reviews
