**** For political reasons Napoleon later erased Monnier out of his sanitized Marengo Epic and made St Cyr commander of the division.

The "Dampierre" brigade (or division) of most accounts usually refers to consisted of parts of the 44th Demi-Brigade that were driven south and lost contact with Victor. Together with the 12th Chasseurs they form the "flank treat" just south of the map-edge.
