Environment: Night, 25% overcast with a half-moon (20% visibility), sea state 3. Time 2000 hrs. Yugoslav Navy Forces:
Yugoslav Orders: Information has been received from sources in Split that two and possibly more Coat naval vessels intend to sortie tonight for unknown purposes. Seek out and destroy them. Their destruction will be major loss to the Croat naval forces, as well as advancing the Serbian cause in the world press. By the same token, do not fire if there is a risk of hitting a civilian vessel. There are many neutral and friendly craft, both merchants fishing vessels, as well as the Sharp Guard UN vessels patrolling off the coast. This force normally consists of two frigates equipped with helicopters. Do not engage the UN frigates unless they fire first. Should an UN ship violate Yugoslav territorial waters you are to issue warnings and shoot only if they refuse to leave.
