At time of writing, 15mm packs are 1.10 pounds unless stated otherwise and contain 8 foot or 4 mounted. MGs are 3 guns and crews. Command 8 foot or 4 mounted. 25mm are sold singly at 5Op each. UK & BFPO 10% of order P&P, minimum 50p, post free over 40. 25mm Desion Service Here are the conditions:

1. The cost is 15 per figure, for this fee the customer receives requirements.
2. Payment is in advance, but checks will not be cashed prior to the dispatch of figures.
3 The copyright is retained by Valiant Miniatures, and the figure will be made generally available through their catalogs at the normal price.
4. The customer will need to supply sufficient information to allow Valiant to complete the figure i.e. drawings/photographs, uniform details, etc., as well as the pose required. In the case of figures being required to scale with existing armies, then Valiant will need a sample of the figures already being used from the customer. Existing figures of other manufacturers will not be copied.

Future projects are filling existing ranges, e.g. ACW cavalry and command figures, WW2 weapons packs and a few more gunfighters. ANZACs for the (Tripoli range will probably be out by the time you read this. Here we go then. 25mm ACW to begin:

Infantry

O1 Priming, hat. Slouch hat, beard, gum blanket slung over left shoulder, patched trousers. Full of character, good pose and detail. Excellent casting.

O2 Getting cartridge, kept. Reaching into his cartridge pouch, behind his right hip. Musket held at the point of balance in left hand. Bayonet fixed, slung blanket, copper cap pouch on front right of his belt. So, may be a rifled musket. Another convincing pose.

O6 Ramming, kept. Rammer up by his right ear, beard, patched trews. A veteran look about him.

Artillerymen in shirtsleeve order

32 Sighting gun, bare headed. Shading his eyes with his left hand, squinting down the barrel. Right hand on his right knee.

36 With sponge, bare headed. Leaning back, left hand over that ear. Mutton chop whiskers. More Please!!

Gunfighters

Slim fellows but well in keeping with the era and excellently animated and cast.
GUN02 Running firing, hat and beard. Mutton chop whiskers actually - see drawing. Tied down holster, jacket flying, very good pose.

GUN03 Standing, firing. Lantern jaw - leaning into the shot. Well animated.

GUN05 Shotgun George. Bootlace tie, hat, moustache and goatee beard, frock coat, another candidate for the OK corral! Ugly customer.

GUN07 Saloon girl, cigarette. Hand on hip, hair up - low bodice and bustle without the gown. Silence is golden!

25mm 1859 Austro-Hungarians

These figures are included in Valiant's catalog for the best of reasons, that gamers have asked for them and have given the firm all the details of the pose, uniforms, etc., that they want.

Hungarian Infantry:

HUN01 Musketeer advancing. Slightly narrowing-to-the-crown shako. Hungarian trousers and short boots. Water bottle on the left hip (canteen style) with knapsack behind and pardy beneath it. Cartridge pouch on the right hip. He carries a bayoneted "fucile da fanteria model 1854." Sorry, my reference book is "L'Esercito Austriaco net 1859," #08, EMT. Serie "Bello" by Mario Zannoni. It does have subtitles in English however and a shortened text ditto at the end of the book a la Osprey "Men at Arms" series. Curious English at times they are. Anyway, an "infantry fusil model 1854." The book quoted above is well worth getting if you are interested in this period. His furry pack has a mess tin placed centrally retained by a strap and the rolled greatcoat goes around the pack and is retained by 4 strapsAll these figures are uniformed in the same way so I shall describe the poses.

HUN02 Musketeer high porte. Exactly in that pose, advancing.

HUN03 Musketeer firmg. A good aimimg pose. The lock of the weapon is well modeled.

HUN04 Musketeer at the ready. Wide spread legged stance to make a steady "platform" when finng. Looks quite menacing actually.

HUN05 Musketeer getting cartridge. Holding the weapon at the point of balance in the left hand and reaching behind into his cartridge pouch with the right hand. The copper cap pouch can be seen centrally on the cross straps over his chest.

HUN06 Grenadier advancing. The item that shows his elite status is a sword on his right hip. The bayonet scabbard goes on top of this. He is moving forward, looking one quarter left. These are very cleanly cast, well animated figures. I hope some officers, musicians may be forthcoming at some time.

15mm ACW Firing Line

ACW25 Kepi, full kit. 2 firing, 3 (different heads) reaching back for ammo; musket held at point of balance, 3 reaching for ammo, musket butt grounded. Great variety! Tlemendous detail.

ACW42 Artillely, kept. 2 with sponges, 2 with shell or charges, 2 pointing, 2 "spare numbers." All in bumfreezer jackets.

ACW62 Dismounted cavalry advancing, kept. 2 carbines across the body (different heads), 3 carbines under right arm holding up sabre in scabbard to stop it dragging, 3 carbine muzzle in the air, looking half right. All have big boots, holstered dragoon pistols, and sabres.

World War II Russian Infantry

RUS01 Rifles. 3 advancing with rifle and bayonet, helmet. 2 advancing rifle and bayonet up. 3 forage cap. All with swathed great coat round left shoulder.

RUS07 Scouts. All with forage caps and round-drum sub machine guns, wearing cowled smocks. World War II German Infantry

GER01 Riflemen in camo smocks, helmets. Helmets have soft covers. 5 poses amongst the 8 figures! Antitank weapons soon!

Gallipoli to Gaze, Great War in the Middle East

TK01 Turkish infantry advancing. In swathed pith helmets - bayoneted rifles - several poses.

TK04 Turkish machine guns and crews (3). 3 heavy water-cooled machine guns with firer, ammunition feeder with belt and box. Officer i/c section in fez. Bimbashi? Now to draw a few of this multitude -not to scale...
