Redoubt Enterprises have produced models of the two foremost general of the American Civil War, Lee and Grant. Each pack contains a mounted and dismounted version for £4.00 per pack. Impressive figures and with their detachable heads the gamer has more room for variation. I’m almost certain I would have recongised the generals from these figures. ACX 41 Union Army commander U.S. Grant. He is wearing his hat in both poses and the dismounted one he holds his frock coat’s labels in a stance favoured in those times. ACX 42 Confederate Army commander General Robert E. Lee. He is holding is hat in his hand while mounted and pointing with it when on foot. American Civil War cavalry on trotting/cantering horses. (The first six packs are the same figures previously released on standing horses, now mounted on the new variants). Packs are £10.00 each including horses and your choice of heads from their extensive list, e.g,, Officer's kepi or slouch, O.R's kepi, slouch, Hardee, bareheaded, puffball, Tennessee bucktail, Texas kepi, Texas slouch, young (cadet) heads etc., ACAV 7 Command in shirt order, Officer, two N.C.O.'s, trumpeter, guidon bearer
All new mounted figures: ACAV 13 Six troopers in shirts armed with drawn pistols. Mix and match, you are spoilt for choice! Three have wear sabres and the others have gotten rid of theirs! I believe as the war dragged on useless equipment like sabres were readily discarded. All wear kepis and not one face is the same - plus I received 6 different horses! These look well when painted and mounted. ACAV 14 Six troopers in shell jackets with drawn pistols
ACX 43 Civilian set is £4.00. Very useful group of individual figures, which will add to any tabletop encounter. AC 119 Cadets/Young soldiers (£4.00). From the Virginia Military Institute set as a separate item, there are six cadets at double march, right shoulder shift. Meeting House American Civil War range, now has a compact (app 9" x 6" not including the tower) and beautifully modelled building which can be used as a meeting house or courthouse. To go with this lovely model there is a set of civilians, including a preacher, a gentleman and his lady, farm workers and an old servant.Prices; Meeting/Courthouse including civilians is £32.00.
