28mm figures from Cannon Fodder Miniatures (PO Box 36604, Winnellie, 0821 N.T. Australia, web site: http://members.xoom.com/canfodmins/canfodmins/home.htm). These figures are from their "The Troubles" line, covering actions involving the IRA from 1916-1922. These are GREAT figures! Very clean, highly detailed -- reminds me of Foundry castings, and with very little flash. Gregory Blake was kind enough to send me (all the way from Australia) the figures listed below (they also make 28mm Mahdists and Egyptians, 28mm Cape Wars and Jungle Drums, and a 20mm Vietnam line).
The IRA T1 - James Doherty - This rebel comes carrying a revolver and slung rifle, standing as if on guard.
The Black and Tan
The IRA could be used for any late 19th/early 20th Century civilian types, as they are dressed in common clothes. The Crown Forces are wearing typical military garb. Their headgear is a beret with a pompom on top. Again, these are wonderful figures, and I highly recommend them. If the other lines are as neatly done, you can't go wrong with Cannon Fodder Miniatures! And you just have to love their name! More Reviews
