An Army of Professionals

American War of Independence
Scenarios for Busy People

by Craig Martelle

An Army of Professionals, American War of Independence Scenarios for Busy People, Stenhouse Game Productions, P.O. Box 92, McLean, VA 22101-0092. I received an AWI scenario booklet from Robert Haworth, Stenhouse Game Productions. He has an ambitious schedule of production that began with this pub. I count myself as an extremely busy person and this is a perfect book. He's come up with both historically accurate and alternate history scenarios that are easy on the number of figures and easy on the terrain and setup. Robert's ideas for ease of play are well-founded and well-practiced. This is the kind of publication nearly all wargamers want to put together, but never find the time or energy. No problem! Robert has done this for you and for only $13.95, it can be yours. The scenarios are:

    1. Moore's Creek Bridge
    2. Stono Ferry
    3. Blackstock's Plantation
    4. Hobkirk's Hill
    5. Birmingham Meeting House (Brandywine)
    6. Eutaw Springs
    7. Whitemarsh
    8. Freeman's Farm

The scenarios in An Army of Professionals build from easy scenarios with few figures to the most complex (which is still relatively quick to setup and play). In order to ease the number of figures, Robert also changes the figure to man ratios by scenario. You can fight a real skirmish battle or turn around and knock out Brandywine in another. The scenarios are very playable and this book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Contact Robert via e-mail at stenhousegames@hotmail.com or the snail mail address above.
