NAMING OF GUNS In the House of Commons Journal (3) p420 there is the following entry: "Ordered, That the Committee of the Militia, and Mr Molins, Comptroller of the Ordinance do deliver for the service of the Kingdom in the employment wherewith Sir Mm. Mailer is intrusted, One Derai-Culverin called Kill Cow, three Drakes at Leaden Hall and One Sacre Drake, upon shod wheels with their carriages; and for Carriages with provisions for Sixty Round shot" (March 7, 1644) What other records are there for the naming of guns??
