The CTV took part in the "Drive to the Sea" and the division of the Republican held area into two areas. At that point, the CTV was reorganized yet again, with some 10,000 men returned home to Italy. The new CTV would consist of the Littorio Division and three joint Spanish-Italian Divisions. The CTV now had: Littori Assault Division(Troop Quality: Experienced, Morale: 8 ) Divisional Troops

With the loss of Catalonia, the fate of the Republic was sealed, and on April 1 , 1939, it was announced that the Spanish Civil War was over. By the end of the summer of 1939, the last elements of the CTV returned to Italy.leaving most of their equipment behind for forces of the new Spanish government. Italian Forces in Spain
