Notes

1. The Carranzista Forces had an entrenched camp called Fort Hidalgo on the hill west of the city of Juarez. In game terms, represent this with six pillboxes and a weapons pit, linked by entrenchments and surroundedby wire. Up to half the Carranzista force may start the game in Fort Hidalgo.

2. The Infantry Battalions are considered TRAINED, Morale 7. All other forces are considered as EXPERIENCE, Morale 9.

3. Firing Characteristic for these units are as follows:

TypeROFEffective
Range
Long
Range
Infantry16"12"
Cavalry (Mounted)14"8"
Cavalry (Dismounted)18"16"
Machine Gun210"20"

4. Victory Conditions: Thee Carranziata player needs to end the game with the Villista's driven out of Juarez, and back past the Jockey Club. In addition, he gets one point for every American stand lost. As the United States and Mexico are at peace, he should not fire on American units, but accidents may happen. If he actively cooperates with the American forces, he loses the game. (Remember, no one invited the Americans to cross the Rio Bravo and enter into Mexico).
