Akheton makes several different Vietnam-era squad packs. US Infantry, Special Forces, and VC are all represented. Each is packed with 12 different poses to a blister pack for $4.75, giving considerable variety. Additionally, a sampan with two crew is available. All figures measured in at just over 20mm tall. The large amount of gear stuck onto these troops is very convincing, capturing nicely the cluttered appearance we all remember from the newscasts of the late 1960s. Posing and animation are good, and detailing is very intricate. Body proportions are a bit suspect in cases (short legs, etc.), but as this malady seems common to almost all 20mm skirmish gaming figures, Akheton's fit in quite nicely! Overall, these figures are well worth their price and will add welcome variety to any Vietnam skirmish game.
