Empire Miniatures (806 E. Abram, Suite 439, Arlington, TX 76010). Empire Miniatures has just released a number of new 15mm figures to add to their Napoleonettes line. This group consists of some new mounted marshals, French, Prussian, and Austrian infantry in overcoats, a French Cuirassier in. campaign dress and a splendid set piece of Napoleon and his staff on foot. All of these figures are well executed and fit perfectly with the earlier original line and offer some excellent detail work especially among the mounted marshals. The Prussian line infantryman in overcoat defending also deserves some special recognition. Napoleon and his staff is an interesting group loaded with character and animation. You can almost feel the urgency of the situation and the Emperor and his marshals debate their next move. I have some questions about the size of some of the bicornes worn by the staff, however, and some of the detail work on the coat turnbacks could be better defined. These criticisms aside the overall effect of the grouping is first rate. More Reviews
