Pat Condray, who was in at the beginning and ran the first several conventions put on by HMGS (later HMGS-East) has compiled The Unexpurgated History of HMGS - Volume I. This 44 page document begins with a short history of the Historical Miniature Hobby and explores the reasons why HMGS was formed in the first place as well as the original goals.. The growing pains of the organization are reviewed in some detail. A great read for HMGS members and those interested in the roots of the modern hobby.
