Arguably, he most important aspect of this hobby is the painting of the figures. Thus a very improtant part of the major historical convention has to be the painting competition. Dave Bonk was in charge of the event this year and reports below: I want to thank everyone for participating in the Historicon 2000 painting competition. We had over 80 entries and the winners were:
Andrew Ringlet’s Dacian Wars entry was also given the Best of Show award, Matt Hostetler’s Sea Fairy Cannibals won the Old Glory Manufacturers Award, while Jeff Jonas’ Early Successor entry won Best Army Used in Game. More Courier Dispatch
