Mini Fig is one of the grandfathers of miniatures; they were one of the first manufacturers of 15mm figures, the old Mini Figs strip, 15s that sometimes still appear on my table. In the 1980's, they came out with their improved (new) 15mm Mini Figs which set the standard for 15mm figures for a number of years. Now Mini Fig is updating their figures and making new molds. These "new mold" Mini Figs are excellent figures. The set The Courier received includes British Light Infantry (12NB and 25NB), Highland Command and infantry (20NB, 14NB, 15NB), French Line Lancers (11NFC, 61NFC) and the Prussian Artillery with crew. All of these figures are cleanly cast and have nice detail. Compared to the older Mini Fig line they are very animated. The horses are especially nice and are at the trot rather than standing. The cavalrymen are cast with the tack and saddles and are separate pieces. Mini Fig has made the figures anatomically correct and naturally proportional, they are M18 on the Barrett Scale. These are pewter figures and lighter than the earlier Minifigs. I can recommend these figures to anyone considering expanding their armies. Mini Fig promises that the line will be extensive.
