GHQ is now producing WWI ships in 1:2400 pewter. The initial batch includes the German battleships Kvnig, Ostfriesland, Derfflinger, and Pommern, armored cruiser Gneisenau, light cruiser Elbing and B109 class torpedo boat destroyers. For the British there are battleships Thunderer, Colossus, and Queen Elizabeth, battlecruiser Lion, armored cruiser Warrior, light cruiser Aurora, and Ferret class torpedo boat destroyers. The WWII Micronauts line has also been expanded. This now includes the British light cruisers Fiji and Arethusa and the Italian heavy cruiser Bolzano. The final naval addition is a Napoleonic era 74-gun ship in 1:1200, the Spanish El Montaqes. A GHQ product release wouldn't be complete without several new WWII Micro Armour packs. These include a complete TO & E Italian Bersaglieri Company, German SdKfz 251/C 17 FLAK 38 single barrel 20 mm FLAK gun on halftrack and SdKfz 251/D8 armored ambulance. The Soviets add 57mm AT guns with crews, while the French get Hotchkiss H-39 light tank, Somua S-35 medium tank, CHAR B1-bis heavy tank, and Panhard 178 armored car with 25mm gun. The British additions are a Thornycroft 4x6 truck, Humber Armoured Car Mk II and Daimler Dingo scout car. The French get most of the additions to the Modern Micro Armour: an AMX 13 light tank, 155mm GCT SP howitzer, and VAB-VCI 6x6 APC from Renault. Raventhorpe Miniatures are now available in the US from RLBPS (address below), who also carry RAFM 20 mm ordnance. These are 20 mm WWII figures, priced at 85" apiece for infantry. Imperialist Enterprises has begun production of a line of 25 mm figures for the War of the Spanish Succession (1702-14). The initial offering includes two English officers, two musketeers, two grenadiers, a fusilier, trooper of Horse, Dragoon trooper, dismounted Dragoon, Cavalry officer and an Ensign. The Austrians are represented by two musketeers, a grenadier and cuirassier. There are also two French line musketeers, a French Guard musketeer, and a Prussian Grenadier. Musket Miniatures has moved to Denver, and Jim McCarron plans to open a retail store and wargaming room now that this has become a full-time business. Thoroughbred Figures has added two new ships to its line of 1/600 ACW vessels. The CSS Manassas (TS30) is priced at $8.75 and a Confederate gunboat based on the Stonewall Jackson from the battle of New Orleans (TS29) sells for $12.60. Old Glory continues to expand the already extensive line of 15 mm Napoleonic figures with bags of French Imperial Guard Cavalry. There are Grenadiers, Chasseurs, Dragoons, Lancers, and Lancers with sword, all with command, as well as Gardes d'Honneur without command. The variety of Confederation troops in 1809 uniforms also continues to grow. New additions include Saxon Cuirassiers and Dragoons with command, Saxon, Polish, Bavarian, and Wurttemburg artillery with crews, and Bavarian, Wurttemburg, and Hesse-Darmstadt Chevau-Lighre with command. Other new releases in 15 mm are a bag of ACW Berdan's Sharpshooters and Pennsylvania Bucktails, and a whole new line of Colonial Wars figures, which has begun with three bags of Zulus, two of British infantry, as well as Native Horse, British Dragoons, and british Lancers. Redoubt has released the first twenty figures in what looks like a spectacular new line of 25 mm Three Musketeer figures for skirmish games or dioramas. Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D'Artagnon are portrayed in musketeer tabards, accompanied by a fat servant carrying packs, flagon, and bottle. There are five poses for the Cardinal's Guard in tabard, six civilian swordsmen in fashionable clothes, and four assassins in close fitting clothes. All the figures have separate heads. These figures are pricey, at $2.10 apiece. The rest of the Redoubt foot figures remain at $1.35. New for the American Revolution are four militia plus officer and standard bearer, a British sergeant with levelled half pike, a light gun, a 6 lb gun, and two Bristish officers on horseback. The already huge 25 mm ECW line has been extended even further. There are 6 new mounted Dragoons, 8 Scots cavalry (officer, lancers, Moss troopers, and dragoons), six Irish musketeers, four pikemen, an officer and a drummer, all in tattered Continental style clothing of the 30 Years War Spanish Imperialist type. There are also a number of special and personality figures, including a Scots frame gun with crew, Scots camp followers, Scots and Irish standard bearers, mounted figures of Charles I, Queen Henrietta Maria (riding sidesaddle, of course), Essex, Montrose, Cromwell, Rupert, and a general with map. Quality Castings is adding more 15 mm WWII castings. The latest equipment releases include British Daimler Dingo scout car, Quad gun tractor, German Sdfkz 223 radio armored car, Sdkfz 234/4 armored car with 7.5 cm AT gun, and a Russian 76 mm M1927 Light infantry gun. There is a 43-figure US paratroop platoon with attched MG team, German, Russian, British, Italian, and Japanese AT rifle teams, European civilians, US, German, and Russian vehicular radios, and Cullen hedgerow cutters for Sherman and Stuart tanks. Finally, there are some terrain items: sets of road obstacles, beach obstacles, Dragon's Teeth, drums/sacks/boxes, and a concrete pillbox. S.D.D. is producing 20 mm "Brown Water Navy" vessels in resin for the Viet Nam War. There is a "Stab" light Seal support craft ($11.50), a "Swift Boat" ($29.98), and a Patrol Boat River ($17.50). Firebase Games is also turning out resin products for 20 mm Viet Nam games, in this case buildings and works. These include Viet Cong bunker, trenches, spider holes, hootches, US trenches, bunkers, emplacements, and Special Forces fighting camp perimeters.
