The Game Manufacturers Association has designated that that July 1995 will be known as National Games Month (NGM) It is the intention of the Association to bring attention to the positive features of game playing during this featured month. Besides being just simple fun, games allow the opportunity for famil interaction, group activities, friendly competition, and the practice of Verbal, REading, English, History, Geography, Creative Writing, and Math skills. Games offer a great way to teach that is both fun and entertaining. Origins will be the cornerstone of GAMA's promotion, although other as-yet-unannounced special events are promised. GAMA has also announced the results of their annual election of the Board of Directors. These are President: David Babb, Stone Mountain Miniatures, Vice President: Winston Hamilton Games Research Design, Secretary: Lee Cerny, Stellar GAmes, Treasurer: Bruce Neidlinger, Lion Crown Enterprise, Directors: Jim Atkiss, TSR Inc, and Robert Carty, Jr, Liberty Hobby Distributors.
