Allied armoured formations given above show unit designations for armour, infantry, and artillery components. The armour sub units in the DCRs were demibrigades. DLMs and DLCs had cavalry regiments those in parenthesis being reconnaissance regiments. The British Division was made up of brigades and regiments. French battalions were B.C.C. in the DCRs and groupes in the cavalry units. Infantry were dragons portes in cavalry units, chasseurs portes in the DCR. Two other DLMs, the 4th and 7th, were formed in June. The former came from elements of DLC 1, the latter from DLC 4. The 6th DLC was stationed in North Africa.

Listed are the German Panzer larmoured) divisions; their individual badge, which appeared on all of their tanks, is shown to the left Divisional sub-units follow, regiment number first, then the number of battalions within the regiment(s). Infantry regiments have a letter along with their number indicating which organization type they used. If the infantry component included a motorcycle battalion, its organization type is shown in parenthesis. Divisions 1 - 5 and 10 were all formed before the war and took part in the Polish campaign. Divisions 6 - 9 were formed from the four light divisions which were found unmanageable in combat operations.

**includes 96 armoured command vehicles on Pz I chassis, and 39 on Pz III chassis.

In addition, there were 100 47mm Pak self-propelled guns on the Pz I chassis, 51 Pz I munition carriers, 38 150mm self-propelled guns on the Pz I chassis, one Pz II bridging tank, and 17 Pz II flame-thrower models available on 10 May. This brings the grand total of AFVs to 3,461.

Figures in parenthesis (+) give tanks received by the army from 15 April -- 25 June, but too late to be in service on 10 May. 100 R-35 types were stocked to equip two newly-formed Polish battalions, and 60 B1 bis models were stocked to equip a new DCR in early June. 184 modern vehicles were retained for testing and instructional purposes.
