Partisan, My Mistake
A Battalions in Crisis Scenario

Russian Briefing

The Germans have been relatively passive the last couple of weeks, probably getting ready for a new offense. A number of Partisan units have been conducting raids to the north and south of your position, but have left the local Germans alone. Hopefully, this has lulled them into a sense of safety. You have encouraged this feeling by maintaining a low profile. However, your troops have been busy. They have been patiently cutting a path through the wire and minefield in front of the German position for the last nine days. A platoon of your infantry will attack through the hole tonight. In support of your attack, Partisans and cavalry will attack the German position from the rear.

Troops

Russian infantry platoon:

    HQ: Two smgs, two rifles.
First squad: Two smgs, one lmg, seven rifles.
Second and Third squads: same as first squad.

Set Up

Enter anywhere on east edge of board on turn one. At beginning of game tell umpire where the cut through minefield and wire is. Lane is four centimeters wide. Russian players controlling partisans and cavalry do not know where lane is.

Morale: Regular 3, Current 3, Regular 4, Combat Ready 3, and Eager 3-for a total of 16.

Partisans: Twelve fighters armed with three smgs, two shotguns, seven rifles and pistols, and two molotov cocktails. The partisans have no grenades.

Start in woods in south west comer of board.

    Morale: Regular 3, Old 1, 2nd line 2, Battle weary 2, and Duty Bound 2-for a total of 10.

Cavalry: Two sections of eight men each. Each section has one smg, two shotguns, and five rifles. All cavalry have sabers, and know how to use them.

Enter via ravine in northwest comer of board on turn 1.

    Morale: Regular 3, Current 3, 2nd line 2, Combat ready 3, and Eager 3-for a total of 14.

Objectives: Cause as many casualties as possible while minimizing your own. If possible, take prisoners.
