True North and SDD

True North Productions

A Canadian company that is specializing in early war stuff, in particular Poles and Dutch. Hungarians and Romanians to follow. They make very nice vehicle kits, but be aware they are kits, e.g., they require more assembly than other maker's stuff, with plenty of fiddly little bits. They have great plans to do all sorts of cool things, but they are finding it takes longer to get new models out than they had planned.

They also offer a design service, where some money and a set of plans can get you a model of something no one else makes (you get a few kits, they get to market the model as part of their line). Someone has been making use of this service to get them to do some early-war Soviet stuff.

SDD

16 Denzil Avenue, Netley Abbey, Southampton, SO31 5BA, U.K.

Makes a range of vehicles that are a bit on the large size, like Peter Pig, but not as good. Makes some odd stuff no one else does, like weird British Home Guard weapons (e.g., Blacker Bombard) and the Neubarhfahrzeug (the multi-turret 'propaganda tank').
