SA-6 Gainful Surface to Air Missile

Length = 19 feet
Cruise Velocity: Mach 2.8
Diameter = 6 inches
Max altitude: 35,000 ft
Slant range: 20 miles
Booster = solid fueled rocket
Booster velocity: Mach 1.5
Cruise engine: Ram jet

Nemesis of the Israel air force in the Day of Atonement War, in which it was used for the first time.

It is believed that this missile has Beam Rider Radar homing, heat seeking homing, active radar homing. and command control. It also may change the frequency of the beam radar rapidly.

Soviet-Designed and Egyptian-Built Hangerette

Approximately 50 of these were captured by the Israelis in their advance into the west bank of the Suez canal. Built of reinforced concrete approximately 10 feet thick, each of these hangarettes sheltered two Egyptian aircraft. First built in Egypt in 1970.

Israeli Soltam L-33

An Israeli-designed and built 155mm gun-howitzer on a rebuilt Sherman (M4) chassis re-engined with a Cummins diesel.

The gun features a shutter-type breech block, semi-automatic elevation, and pneumatic shell ramming. It fires standard NATO and French 155mm ammunition to a maximum range of 20 km.

Rate of fire: 3 rpm
Traverse: + or - 30 degrees from vehicle center line.

Israel also manufactures the French M-50 155mm gun and has imported the US M-109.
