Courses


Tim runs a course at the University of Birmingham entitled Napoleonic Studies Evening Course, which examines the period from the French Revolution, the rise of Napoleon, the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, through to Napoleon's final exile to St. Helena. The course runs from October to December, and so will be over by the time you read this. Clive Wilkinson of the Nelson Society runs courses at Sprowston Adult Education Centre, Sprowston High School, Cannerby Lane, Sprowston, Norwich, NR7 8NE. Tel. 0603 426379. The courses are Seapower in the Eighteenth Century, which looks at British naval history from 1701-1815, covering logistics, technology, economics, geographical and political aspects of the subject. The War of 1812 looks at the causes and course of Britain's war with the United States. These courses are run on Saturdays in October and November.
