Artillery Foot and Horse

Artillery wore dark blue infantry style jackets with scarlet turnbacks and black collar, cuffs, and lapels all piped red. Both foot and horse wore the Raupenhelm with brass front plate, bosses, and "V" sided stiffeners,and secured with a black leather chin strap. A white plume was only used bythe horse artilery. Both branches had white breeches, grey breeches, and overalls respectively for campaign, with the foot gunners having aboive th ekree black gaiters and the horse gunners black leather Hungarian boots trimmed in yellow lace.

It seems the foot artillerymen had dark blue, shoulder straps piped red and the horse had yellow contre-epaulettes. All buttons were brass and button holes on thehorse artillery lapels and cuffs were adorned with yellow lace batons. The leather work was black for the foot and white for the horse. The artillery were issued with standard infantry equipment and armed with both sabre and musket, whle thehorse gunners were armed with a light cavalry sabre and single shoulder belt with a black leather cartouche pouch adorned with brass crossed -barrels .

Officers and NCO's uniforms had the usual distinctions for their rank, while the horse artillery officers wore a black leather shoulder belt edged with gold lace.

Trumpeters uniforms were adorned with typical musicians lace, red plumes etc. The drums' barrels were brass, and the hoops were scarlet and white diagonal stripes. Trumpets were brass with scarlet cords. The horse gunners pointed shabraques were dark blue with yellow Ducal cypher and edging, while the trumpeters were red with dark blue trim. Officers shabraques were adorned with gold lace and the Ducal arms appearing on the front and rear corners of the horse furniture.

The artillery train wore single breasted light grey jackets with black collar, cuffs and turnbacks, white breeches and heavy cavalry boots. All buttons being white metal. They wore raupenhelms and had white leather cross.befts anct sabrebrlquet Gun carriages and, equipment were painted dark grey and all metal fittings painted black.
