Arnold: 3,463 Petre: 3,846 I have counted the Legion as trained as the woodland fighting would have been to their liking, but command and control problems would have reduced their effectiveness. If they move into the open count as raw. GM Moritz Lichtenstein is not mentioned in the lists, but could go in with the Kaunitz Regiment. Alois and Moritz Lichtenstein, Bieber, Lusignan and Vukassovich were all wounded - real front-line leadership. (Source: Krieg 1809, Vol. 1, p.385.) Based on 'Armies on the Danube', pp.69, 70 All French general officers appear to have been very good. Petit and Friant are simplified and slightly reduced due to earlier combats. Veterans are taken as having fought at least three major battles, based on the relevant 'Osprey' books. Artillery would be mainly 6 and 8 pounder guns, and a battery of 4 pounders. LOSSES Krieg, p.394 gives a total of 3,300.
