Pupilles Regulation uniform for this corps was to be a green short-tailed coat with yellow piping to collar, cuffs, lapels, turnbacks, shoulder straps and pockets; turnback eagles were also yellow. White undergarments worn with short black gaiters. However, it seems that only the first four battalions could be issued this uniform, and stocks of old Dutch uniforms were issued to the remainder. Battalions were dressed in white with an array of coloured facings. In 1812 this situation was regulated somewhat. Green and white uniforms were sanctioned; the former to have buff collar and piping, the latter to have green collar, cuffs, lapels. Piping to turnbacks, shoulder straps and waistcoats were the colour of the coat. The shako had white chevrons, brass eagle plate and cords of the coat colour. Pupilles carried the dragoon musket, others carried a sabre. Flanquers A green short-tailed coat with closed lapels and red turnbacks was worn. Collar, pointed cuffs, lapels, turnbacks, shoulder straps and vertical pockets were all piped yellow. The Flanqueurs-Chasseurs had green horns on the turnbacks, whilst the FlanqueursGrenadiers had white eagles. White breeches were worn with black gaiters. Flanqueurs-Chasseurs wore a Tirailleur shako with brass eagle plate and chinscales, green and yellow pompon; Flanqueurs-Grenadiers had a Fusiliers-Grenadiers shako, including white chevrons, red cords, red and yellow pompon. Most senior officers wore blue Chasseur or Grenadier uniform. Equipment was as for Tirailleurs, although Flanqueurs-Grenadiers did not carry the sabre-briquet. Imperial Guard Infantry
