Uniform A blue short-tailed coat was worn, with blue collar and square-cut lapels, red cuffs with white flaps, blue shoulder straps piped red, white turnbacks piped red. The Conscrits-Grenadiers had red pocket piping. The unit had white undergarments and short black gaiters. NCOs had Fusiliers-Grenadiers rank bars and officers wore the uniform of that corps; drummers had aurore lace to collar, cuffs and lapels. Officer, Conscrits-Chasseurs and Officer, Fusilier-Grenadiers, 1809 The Conscrits-Chasseurs were dressed like the Tirailleurs-Chasseurs, with blue turnbacks (bearing green horns), blue undergarments and black shaped gaiters with green trim and tassel. NCOs and drummers had green epaulettes with gold crescent and red fringe, with aurore lace on collar, cuffs and lapels for the drummers. senior officers wore Fusiliers-Chasseurs' uniform. Headdress The Fusiliers-Grenadiers' shako was worn by the Conscrits-Grenadiers with white chevrons, red cords and pompon. ConscritsChasseurs wore the Tirailleurs-Chasseurs shako with a green plume or pompon, and officers wore Fusiliers-Chasseurs shako. Equipment Equipment was for the Tirailleurs, with a red sword-knot for Conscrits-Grenadiers. Imperial Guard Infantry
