1. 12th Annual SYWA Convention

The date for the 1995 convention has been moved to Friday April 7th and Saturday April 8th, to be held at the Holiday Inn South Bend (same venue as last year's event). This year's convention features 12 high quality events scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday morning, afternoon and evening.. Additionally, Paul Petri will give a brief presentation and video showing of the 1994 Christopher Duffy Tour. Finally, there is a chance that there will be a surprise visit by a very special guest. So don't miss out on any of the fun. See additional information on pages 36-37 in this issue. Anyone wishing to host a game should contact Jim Mitchel at (219) 663-3914 or write to him at 147 N. Jackson St.,Crown Point, IN 46307.

2. 2nd Annual Washington Area SYW Game Day

Tim Tilson reports that he held another SYW day-long minicon on February.4,1995. Give Tim a call at (703) 273-9436 if you are interested in hosting a game at his next event. It sounds like this year's event was a lot of fun.

3. Leuthen Day 1994

This annual event returned after a one year hiatus, and some 50 garners showed up at the Emperor's Headquarters in Chicago to participate in five different wargames. This year's event was different in that it was run as a one day minicon featuring games hosted by Tom Tuck, Dean West, Tod Kershner, Brian Vizek and Jim Purky. In previous years, Leuthen Day was one big monster game that recreated an historic SYW battle. It seemed as if everyone enjoyed the new format, so much so that we will use it again next December 9, 1995 at EHQ.
