I recently received a catalog from On Military Matters and noticed that Christopher Duffy's new book on the Austrian Army of the SYW is scheduled to be published during the first quarter of 2000. The title is The Austrian Army of the Seven Years War, and it will be published by Emperor's Press in Chicago, Illinois. The book intends to cover the entire 18th Century and includes a lot of new archival material that Duffy has collected from his frequent visits to Vienna. Perhaps copies will be available in time for the SYWA convention at the end of March 2000, so that you can buy a copy and have it autographed in person by Christopher Duffy. I am looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of this book and seeing what new tidbits of information that Duffy has uncovered. Exciting things lie ahead.
