Waterloo Week at Apsley House

Every year Apsley House celebrates the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo with a week of events examining the history of the campaign and the collection housed at the Wellington Museum in Apsley House. This year the event is over the week of 14th to 22nd June. While this edition of First Empire may not reach you until 18th, there are still a number of events taking place at the end of the week.

Waterloo Week Talks and Tours: 17-20 June (admission charge except 18th June when free)

During the week, there will be tours of Apsley House and talks from experts to celebrate the anniversary of the battle of Waterloo. Find out about the magnificent Waterloo banquets, the gifts of porcelain and silver presented to the Duke and the art of Napoleon. Learn about one of the finest paintings of the early 19th century, The Chelsea pensioners Reading the Waterloo Despatch by David Wilkie.
