From 14 October until 1 December 1998, the Friends of the Wellington Museum at Waterloo will be exhibiting prints and drawings of the Battle of Waterloo, collected over the last 30 years by Jaques Logie, military historian and a leading light of the Waterloo Committee in Belgium. The Museum purchased the collection of almost 200 items with a gift from the British Embassy from money raised at the Duchess of Richmond's Ball held in Brussels during 1997. The exhibition is expected to raise funds necessary for the restoration, mounting and framing of fragile works of art in the collection. There will be a fully illustrated colour catalogue. Further details may be obtained from Les Amis Du Musée Wellington, 147 Chausée de Bruxells, 1410 Waterloo, Belgium. Tel. (02) 354 7806, Fax. (02) 354 2223. More Napoleonic Newsdesk
