A series of uniform plates on the Prussian hussars of 1808-1815 produced by Kurt Geiss, Ulf J. Friese and others. 230 plates are planned, the first 8 have just been released. Price per plate approx. £ 4.00. For further details, write to: Peter Hofschröer, Postfach 1427, D-56174 Vallendar, Germany

For those of us who enjoyed collecting the original "Fanfaro" series, the long announced continuation of this work to cover the period 1808 to 1815 has at last produced a result and a pleasing one at that. Well researched and drawn by a number of artists, each full- colour plate, A4 in format, shows a variety of uniforms worn by one unit - officers, troopers, NCOs, musicians, volunteers, parade and campaign dress. The standard of the artwork is high, if not quite Fosten.

The text on the back of the plates is in German, French and English.

Recommended.
