March 22, 1999,(Guelph, Ontario)-Guardians of Order in association with Central Park Media Corporation, announced today that is has scheduled for release two role-playing games based of the Japanese anime titles Dominion Tank Police and Demon City Shinjuku. Guardians of Order has negotiated options on two additional Central Park Media anime titles, Cyber City Oedo 808 and Geobreeders. ,

Dominion Tank Police is a classic 1989 four-part anime series, based on the mange (comic), Dominion, by prominent Japanese storyteller artist, Masamune Shirow. The series is set on an unfriendly Earth in 20 10 AD-the atmosphere is a poisonous bacterial soup, vicious underworld organizations have run of the cities, and the governments are virtually helpless. The last line of defense against utter chaos is Newport City's Tank Police: a team of trigger-happy officers with an affinity for demolition and disaster. The other scheduled for RPG release title, Demon City, Shinjuku, is a feature-length 1988 animated action-horror film, based on an original novel by Hideyuki Kikuchi. The events are set in near-future Tokyo where the glittering skyline, which once rivaled any in the world, now lies cracked and crumbling under an oppressive evil, lead by the tyrannical Levih Rah. Fortunately, there are brave champions who challenge Rah's plans of destruction for the planet, and venture into the heart of the demon city.

"Both Dominion Tank Police and Demon City Shinjuku are ideal anime programs upon which to base RPG's," said Guardians of Order President, Mark C. MacKinnon. "The rich settings provide inspiring backdrops for both single-session adventures or longer campaigns. Furthermore, the dynamics of team unity are featured in both shows which reflects important aspects of game play. We are very pleased to work with the team at Central Park Media to bring these properties to the forefront of the adventure gaming industry. With options on the two additional Central Park titles for later publication, it is going to be a very active year for us."

The first of the upcoming publications, The Dominion Tank Police Roie-Playing Game and Resource Book, will be written by staff author, David L. Pulver, and released in July 1999. David will also write The Demon City Shinjuku Role-Playing Game and Resource Book, which will be released one month later in August 1999. Both titles will be complete stand alone games featuring Guardians Of Order's Tri-Stat System, and will each retail for $19.95. The role-playing game featuring Cyber City Oedo 808 is tentatively scheduled for a fall 1999 release. The Geobreeders RPG should be released in early 2000 to coincide with the premiere of the video series by Central Park Media.
