Died in Florence SC of ‘Exhaustion’. He was Commander of prisons.

March 10. W. H. C. Whiting; MS
WIA at Fort Fisher NC and captured, Died as a POW

April 2. Lt Gen Ambrose P. Hill; VA
KIA Petersburg Siege

April 6. John A Wharton; TX
Killed in a duel in Texas over a dispute during a staff meeting

April 16. R. C. Tyler; TN
KIA at Ft Tyler near West Point Ga. By a sharpshooter

April 23. James Dearing; VA
WIA High Bridge, Va. On April 6

Stephen Elliot; SC (strangely some sources have him dying during the war in 1864)
WIA Petersburg Siege. Never completely recovered, died of Wounds after the war
