Grenze Regiments were used as light/line infantry. Usually they were brigaded in the advance guard or reserve divisions. Numbers ranged from 800 to 1300 men per battalion with one to two battalions per regiment.

Hungarian Fusileers wore white jackets and sky blue pants with a yellow seam down the side and yellow Hungarian knots on the front of pants.
