The Russian KV/1 heavy tank was introduced in 1939 and when the Germans invaded Russia caused considerable grief until the Germans overwhelmed it by numbers and tactics. It has solid armour all around and it Was easy to mass-produce. It has a diesel powered 600 HP V-1 2 engine and 76mm gun, 41.5 calibras long and three 7.62 mm machine guns, bow gun mantle and one at the rear of the turret. It had all of this with a road speed of 22 mph. The frontal armour was 3.5 inches, turret front was 4.5 inches. Extra three inch armour plates were welded to hull on sides under the turrets. The KV/11 with hugh box turret and one 52 mm howitzer. The last production MK was KV/85 in 1943. This KV design was expanded into the famous Stalin series of heavy tanks. Note the following:
Length: 22'0" Width: 10'9" Height: 9' Speed: Road 22 mph country 11 mph Armament: 1 x 76.2mm gun, 3 x 7.62 machineguns Crew: 5 Range: 208 miles Engines: v-12 600 hp Fuel: diesel 159 gals.
