The Space Gamer 23 magazine featured an article called “Primal Man, Primal War” by Glen L. Williams. This piece had rules for leaders, shamans, and two new scenarios -- one with Neanderthals on the run from predatory Cro-Magnons, and one pitting a party of exploring Conquistadors against a Pueblo Indian village.

Vindicator volume 1/2 (winter 1996) contained an article showing an alternate, non-odds-based combat system for the game.
