I'm not sure why, but on one recent weekend, I managed to engage in a plethora of games, starting on Friday night, going through Saturday, and continuing on Sunday. Why, after a relatively long drought during which I was forced to play lots of solo set-ups, gamers suddenly kept popping up at my house on a single weekend, I have no idea. One of the games played used the DBM rules, and I've already described this superb affair in another article in the issue. DBM is so spectacular that it rates an article unto itself. Most of the other games were basic 'tryout' affairs, in which I, or the other fellas, were presenting a basic set of concepts and attempting to get a particular set of rules in shape. More Awash
