Along a strip of coral a ship has anchored to take on fresh water…. The shore party is returning from the freshwater stream carrying casks down to the beach. He dives. The vessel is secured by a boats rope and pulled aboard. Grinning crew eye their prize….couldn't possibly be anything of value within…. The stopper is examined and found to be intact. Nervous crew anticipate the prize….parched lips are wetted as the stopper is removed. Each player roll 2D6 and beginning with the lowest rolled recount the following adventure. Adventure string one: Your crew is celebrating a wedding in the local port. You are a distinguished guest. The party becomes too much … you are splendidly intoxicated! You stare deep into the brides eyes as you dance and remember a time long ago ….. Adventure string two: You are officer of the watch. You stroll across a sunbleached deck as the crew is busy mending sails and rope. You listen to the conversation of the groups as you make your rounds. It is a splendid day. A crewman is in the middle of a fabulous sea tale and begs your attention. "Sir you're learned of such things …", he hands you a coin. You peer down into your hand and are drawn swiftly into a time long ago. Adventure string three: You are looking at the sun and measuring local apparent noon. You turn to your 1st Lt. and announce the start of the new day. A bell rings. You watch the shore party through your glass as they return with wood and water. Something very curious about the way they sway and bounce on the tidal waters. They draw you into a dream of long ago. Daydream Believer Part 1
