FRY Operational Situation: The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) is under intense air attack from NATO forces as they try to persuade the FRY Government to withdraw its military units from Kosovo. The situation is grim as there has been considerable damage to the transportation infrastructure and the air defense network. Fuel and ammunition supplies are being depleted without replenishment and there is a growing concern that NATO might employ ground forces in the near future. In an attempt to achieve even a minor victory against NATO, the FRY Navy will sortie for the first time in this conflict and engage NATO naval assets on patrol in the Adriatic. FRY Tactical Situation: The majority of the FRY Navy will deploy from Kotor Bay at 2200 (local) and attempt to ambush the NATO patrol that normally swings by the entrance to the bay, some 40 to 50 nm out. This is an all-out effort, since the FRY Navy will only get one try. The submarine Sava slipped out to sea yesterday, and the coastal defense forces deployed to their wooded dispersal sites earlier in the week. Along with the SSC-3 mobile ASCM battery, makeshift jamming units are also available. FRY Forces: Frigates:
