GERMAN PLAYERS

1. Come up with a detailed assault plan including a specific mission for each unit in your force. No reinforcements will be available Sept. 1st.

2. Use sketch map provided to plan and indicate where the BB barrages come in at least for the initial bombardment. At least 2 barrages must be fired Turn J- because that is the signal of the start of the war.

3. All units must stick to the initial battle plan until orders changed by HQ unit command stands must still be functioning on the board and cannot either move/fight on turn orders transmitted.

4. Divide units up among players and no communications/tabletop talk once game begins except by radio messages (written notes),

SPECIAL RULES NOTES:

1. Naval Observation Team can call in naval gun support only by making a spotting roll.

Large target/troops in open: 4-6 First turn trying to spot, 2-6 Subsequent tries on same spot.

Small target/covered/concealed: 6 First turn spotting 5-6 Second turn try on same spot 4-6 Third try etc.

2. Shaped HE charges carried by engineers take one turn to be emplaced (no movement allowed by stand) then can be detonated by wire charger when troops get out of way. Roll 2 D6 and only a 2 fails to detonate.

3. SS Heimwehr subtract 1 die from all morale rolls to reflect the fact they were a political militia unit rather than a combat SS formation.

4. Sept 1st will have 24 turns of daylight then assault must be called off and the peninsula evacuated, thereupon the assault would recommence the next day.

5. Battleship provides a bombardment capability of 15 barrage grids Day 1. A minimum of 2 barrages must start on Turn 1 as this starts the war and was ordered to commence precisely at 4:45 AM by Army High Command.

6. Each rubber raft can hold 2 stands of troops and moves at speed of 4 inches. Any hits go into passengers and any explosive hits destroy the raft.
