Armored Train Configurations (technical drawings

Translation & Research by Craig Martelle

Typical car and steam engine of an armored train during the Russian Civil War (designated by the numbers inside the square boxes). The line drawings designate both the armored platform (with armaments) and the armored steam engine (that accounts for the same number on two different pages). Also note the number of different views. A lot of information is squeezed onto these three pages.

1. Armored train with an anti-aircraft configuration with two turrets on an armored platform and a steam engine built in the Izhorsk factory with a four-axle chassis (I A - lateral casemate wall after dismantlement of the four emplacement sides).
2. 44h Petrograd armored train and the 44th in the name of Volodarskiy in the two-car configuration armored platform and steam engine.
