15mm Feudal Castings

Dark Ages, WWI,
1850 danish

Here are some more varied releases of these well detailed and crisply cast figures. I will list the samples and comment .

Dark Ages / Feudal / Medieval Scots


S7 Scots Light Cavalry, javelin and shield. Round targe, bare head, beard, dagger on left hip.
S8 Scots Medium/Heavy Cavalry, javelin and shield. Splined helmet, cloak, mail shirt. Both mounted on lively looking garrons, with blankets, not saddles. No stirrups of course.

13th Century Spearmen

[So new when I got them they had no code numbers!]

1. Kettle hat, surcoat over mail, spear, shield, pouch on belt at rear of left hip. Standing spear upright (as all the others).
2. As 1. but in aketon and minus shield. Cross hilted sword on his left hip.
3. Spear, shield, round helmet, quilted cuir boulli jacket, dagger.
4. Mail hood and coat, surcoat over; round shield, spear and sword.

All in fine cast detail that rewards careful painting and shading.

Great War 1914-1918


GW9 German infantry officer, steel helmet, pistol. The helmet is the original "coal scuttle" with rivets sticking out. Pistol is a Luger.
GW10 German infantry, steel helmet, fighting order, advancing, one hand raised. (Also an officer - tho' my list doesn't say so). Good pose. Can mean "Wait!" or "Come on".
GW11 German infantry, fighting order, advancing. Pack, rolled greatcoat round it, mess tin centre, trench shovel on left, mess tin beside and behind it. Rifle and bayonet.
GW12 German infantry, fighting order, firing. Ammo pouches on belt front, left and right of belt buckle. THe cadaverous aspect of the steel helmet is well caught in all these figures. Imperial Japanese Army WWII J5 No.2s Infantry, helmet, advancing, LMG No.2. Carrying ammo box in his right hand, rifle upright held at the point of balance in his left. J6 Infantry, helmet, prone, type 96 LMG No.2. He has the ammo box in front of him - rifle in left hand. Both really excellent figures to compliment those previously released.

1850 Danish

D3 Lifeguard, bearskin, advancing, full kit. My niece's husband wore this uniform, only slightly modified, when he belonged to this august body of men. It was the most uncomfortable uniform anyone has ever invented he said. The neck stock made one sit to attention even when off duty. Full pack, knapsack, canteen, shot pouch, sword and bayonet scabbard, bearskin with frontal plate. Cap pouch on cross belts.

D4 Lifeguard Command. [Full title "Lifeguard on Foot". There was a Mounted Lifeguard for a short time.] Officer, drawn sword grounded. Telescope case on his right hip supporting scabbard with his left hand, "Van Dyck" beard and moustache. Standard bearer, pole only, provide your own fly. Drummer, "Swallows nests" on shoulders, playing drum. An imposing group even in this scale.
