Village Green

15mm and 25mm Japanese Buildings

by Kenn Hart

These latest offerings from Village Green were warmly welcomed by myself, the 15mm ones that is. There are three thatched buildings done in both scales, look very authentic and paint up well, which are advertised as "Farm Peasant Buildings".

They are all individual in style and size and would compliment any samurai battle. Only in 25mm [at present - hint] is the Samurai Walled Residence comprising; Large House, Stable, Tea House, Walls & Gateway. This is a very impressive set-up and put a Torii outside and you have instant "atmosphere". There are also 20/25mm corn stooks (M40) and corn sheaves (M41) which I immediately converted to "ricestooks" etc and blend in very well with the buildings.

Another set of buildings that could be used for Feudal Samurai is the Indo-Chine 20mm Buildings range of Large Longhouse (S13), Oblong Straw Building (M14) and Square Straw Building (S15). Two very adaptable items in this range are the Water Tower/Steel pump (S16) and The Lookout Platform and roof (S17), which could be used for just about any period. Excellent standard of workmanship, as one expects from this firm.
