by The London War Room, 41 Beverly Hills Loop, Petal, MS 39465, phone (601) 584-8533. SBB4, Spanish Bourbons, 6 soldados de cuera with horses. These figures are true 28mm (on the Barrett scale) and fit perfectly with my Foundry Apaches. It may seem like this line is from an obscure period, but it is not. In a nutshell, these were the first cowboys of the old west. They roamed the western reaches of America 100 years before our Wild West era. They primarily fought the Indians and this is the reason they wore the long leather jackets, defense against arrows. Back to the figures. In SBB4 you'll get 6 mounted figures (2 different poses) and 6 horses (2 different poses). Detail is very nice and the poses are realistic. Plus, for each figure there's a shield, rifle, sabre, & spear on an extra sprue. Use these as you'd like mounting on the saddle or on the figure itself. Or you can use the extra weapons to spice up a base camp. For those of you with Foundry Apaches (or other similiar sized Wild West Indian figures), pick up some of these Spanish Bourbons. The Bourbons can fight the Indians for a while giving a nice break for your gunfighters, while the Indians, once again, get the short end of the stick. By the way, whatever rules you are using for your Wild West will be perfect for the Spanish Bourbons. Just modify the range and rate of fire for the musket (in lieu of an 1800's Winchester repeater) and that's it! Highly Recommended! More Reviews
