Initial Conditions

Railhead: 2117. Note that at the start of play, the railhead lies eight hexes off the west edge of the playing area. It will advance to hex 2314 during the Jul II 42 Axis player turn, and to hex 2310 during the Aug I 42 turn, at which time it can be shown on the scenario map with a railhead marker.

Roadhead: 2311. This defines the easternmost hex of the road element of the German supply line at the start of play. Temporary Airfields: The German player may deploy a temporary airfield with each of his construction and engineer regiments, to the extent desired. Note: Only one temporary airfield may be placed in a hex.
