1800; Militia uniform as prescribed by the Royal Order of 20th Oct. 1788. “casaca azul, chupa y calzon blanco, vuelta, solapa y collarin encarnado, boton blanco, y un galoncito estrecho en el collarin.”
1815; This regiment had recently been granted its own organisation, 624 men in 4 squadrons, and its own unique uniform; “casaca corta y pantalón azul, buelta, collarin, chaleco y forros encarnados, solapa, vivo y capa amarilla, boton blanco, y sombrero redondo con escudo y dos borlas, mantillas y tapafundas encarnadas con galon blanco.”
These Militia Cavalry Regiments were composed of four squadrons with a total of 371 men during peace time and 617 men when on a war footing, as per Royal Order 20-10-1788.
