Shako bright blue, national cockade and ribbon at base of shako, (cockade; red centre, white, blue outer, ribbon; red top, white, blue bottom ) the peak is black. Blouse bright blue, red collar, cuffs, stripe with buttons ( like Fig.7.) and waistsash. Trousers white, brass buttons. Fig. 2. As No.1, but without the waistsash, white leather belts, black leather ammunition pouch and bayonet scabbard with brass fittings, black shoes. Fig. 3. Officer from the same painting as Figs. 1 & 2, kepi is bright blue with gold rank lace and gilt star, black visor. Tunic medium blue with red collar and waistsash, gilt buttons and shoulder bars, white sword slings, black leather sword scabbard with gilt fittings. Fig. 4.
