Napoleonic Library Book Review
Reviewed by Dana F. Lombardy
Author: James T. Brenner Two famous Napoleonic officers, Clausewitz and Jomini, are included in this monograph. Their influential philosophical works on the art of war are put into historical and theoretical context by the author, along with important writers from other eras. This short treatise is actually a useful review for even a very knowledgeable military historian. And if you haven't taken any courses in military history, it's a good place to start. The author admits that this booklet is meant only as an introduction to the subject. In that he has succeeded. More Napoleonic Library Book Reviews:
